Managing Partner Academy

 

Eligibility: The program is specifically designed for the primary leader in the firm and is invitation only. Because we believe that succession planning is a vital responsibility of leaders, firms may also enroll the person who will assume firm leadership in the near future.

Annual Meeting: Members gather in Scottsdale Arizona in February of each year. The group meets from noon on the first day to noon on the second day to discuss in-depth the key issues and best practices relevant to those in firm leadership roles. To allow everyone an opportunity to network with other participants, Upstream also arranges group dinners.

Year-Round Communication: During the year we periodically hold virtual meetings to address key issues facing managing partners. Upstream helps facilitate this networking. Currently we are holding bi-monthly networking calls to help participants share solutions, challenges, and resources.

Facilitation: Jeremy Clopton, Director at Upstream Academy, interacts with hundreds of CPA firms around the world each year via professional conferences, partner retreats, and conference call presentations. 

Fees: The annual fee for participating in MPA is $2,500 and covers all costs for the year with the exception of personal travel, lodging costs, and golf at the annual meeting.  An additional person from the same firm can participate ($1,250 per year) if he/she will be assuming the managing partner role in the near future.
